About Us

New Germany Enviro Center opened October 2017. We purchased the depot license from the previous owner and relocated it to our existing location in January of 2018. Our goal was to provide a recycling area to the community they could be proud to have in the village. We provide an area that is clean, organized and welcoming to all our customers.

In June 2019 we started offering the people of Caledonia, Queens County a mobile service every other Saturday with the same respected service.

Then in October of 2020 we obtained the Liverpool license and opened that in a new location. We were under renovations for 2 years but that work is now complete and we are very proud to call it the Queens depot.

New Germany depot received the depot of the year in 2018 and Queens received the same award in 2021 for the province from Divert Nova Scotia.

What We do

We are happy to take your refundable bottles and pay you for them or you can donate the money to your favorite charity. If you count, sort and label your bags you are entered in a draw to win $50. Every 200 ballots we do a draw. This is offered at all three locations but exclusive at your depot location.

We also take paint, electronics and non-ferrous metals, used eyeglasses and tabs off you cans. See staff for details.

We are also a drop off spot for your can “tabs”.

The tabs are collected by the New Germany Lions club and are sent to Easter Seals to make wheelchairs for those in need. You can also drop off your used/ unwanted eyeglasses.
